The Jewish Museum is the most significant piece of contemporary architecture in Berlin.
Inside, in addition to the exhibition rooms, there is the windowless Holocaust Tower. Outside, the Garden of Exile symbolizes the isolation and loss of orientation of life in exile.
The exhibition which was opened in September 2001 recounts the history and life of German Jews.
